Students at West Point Elementary School are spending some time this summer getting creative. Recently, LaGrange Art Museum donated the first at-home art-making activity and supply kit to students at the school. The hands-on kits were delivered through West Point Elementary School's summer lunch program. The initiative is supported by funds provided through the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley. This summer there will be a series of four kits, each inspired by artworks from the Museum’s permanent collection, ranging from 3-D model magic creatures, gesture drawings, animal motion wire sculptures, and superhero creations.
