A native of Mexico, I have been teaching Spanish since 1995 at Troup HIgh School.
After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education at the University of Alabama, my family and I moved to La Grange , GA where I continued my education at La Grange College and later earned my Specialist Degree in Foreign Language Instruction from Auburn University.
During my teaching years I have attended numeros professional learning seminars and courses which helped me to earn The AP Spanish certification, the National Board Certification in 2003 and the Gifted Endorsement in 2012.
2010 was the year that I became the sponsor of the Travel Club which provides learning oportunities thru educational travel.
The first trip to Spain and Morocco provided students with opportunies to practice their Spanish and imcrease their cultural awarness.
The 2012 Tour had the most participantes so far that included two counselors, three fellow teachers,three parents and many students who enjoyed the Sprin Break in London, Paris and Barcelona.
Italy as the destination for the 2013 trip where the highlights were Florence, Venezia, Siena and Rome.where students viewed the art at the Vatican Museum and visited the Coliseum among many other cutural sites.
